# iAdvize AI Shopping Assistant — Documentation > Product guides, developer/API reference, and changelog for the iAdvize AI Shopping Assistant (AISA). ## Docs - [Authentication](/docs/api/authentication): Create an API key and use it to call the public REST API. - [Create an agent](/docs/api/createAgent): Creates an agent on this site, and its first configuration version (v1, champion, empty instructions) so the agent is usable immediately. Returns both. - [Create a version](/docs/api/createAgentVersion): Versions are immutable: to change an agent's instructions you create a new version rather than editing one. The new version gets the next per-agent version number. If you create it directly as `champion`, the previous champion is archived automatically. - [Create a site](/docs/api/createSite): Creates a site, the workspace unit agents and conversations live under. - [Delete an agent](/docs/api/deleteAgent): Soft-deletes the agent: it disappears from every read, but its versions and conversations are preserved. Returns the id and a deleted flag. - [Delete a site](/docs/api/deleteSite): Deletes the site. Its agents and connectors are detached (their `siteId`/`site_id` cleared), never deleted: they become org-level/unassigned. Returns the id and a deleted flag. An organization keeps at least one site: deleting its only one is refused with `409`. - [Get an agent](/docs/api/getAgent): Returns a single agent by id. A cross-tenant, soft-deleted, or different-site id is a 404. - [Get a version](/docs/api/getAgentVersion): Returns a single configuration version. A 404 unless the version exists and belongs to the agent in the path. - [Get a conversation with messages](/docs/api/getConversation): Returns a single conversation: every field of the collection item, plus the playground `metadata` and the full ordered `messages` array. Read-only and tenant-scoped; messages have no API of their own. A conversation whose agent belongs to a different site than the one in the path, another organization's conversation and an unknown id all answer the same `404`. - [Get a conversation's labels](/docs/api/getConversationLabels): Returns the label record of one conversation under the published labeling configuration: its `labelStatus`, the `taxonomyVersion` of the read, and `labels`, the current run. `labels` is `null` unless `labelStatus` is `labeled`, and a status never carries a reason. When present, `answers` holds the judge's answer for each label with the ids of the messages that justify it, and `tokens` lists the conversation's label tokens. Only the current run is returned. A conversation of another site, another organization's conversation and an unknown id all answer the same `404`. - [Get the label vocabulary](/docs/api/getLabelVocabulary): Returns the published label taxonomy: every label with its key, kind, block and allowed values, an English display name for each label, block and value, and the derived tokens. A token is `:`. The vocabulary is exactly the set of tokens the `labels.all`, `labels.any` and `labels.none` filters of the conversation collection accept, so build a filter from what you read here. The display names are English text for explaining a label to a person: match on `key` and on the tokens, never on a `displayName`. It needs a valid API key like every route and returns no tenant data: it is the same for every organization. - [Get a site](/docs/api/getSite): Returns a single site by id. A cross-tenant id is a 404. - [List an agent's versions](/docs/api/listAgentVersions): Returns every configuration version of the agent, newest first. - [List a site's agents](/docs/api/listAgents): Returns every agent on this site (soft-deleted agents excluded), newest first, each with its current champion version number. - [List a site's conversations](/docs/api/listConversations): Returns the conversations run through this site's agents, newest first by creation time, with their context, feedback, engagement and a summary of their labels. The list is scoped to the site in the path and to the organization of the API key. Filters combine with AND: `labels.all` needs every token, each `labels.any` group (tokens separated by `|`) needs one of its tokens, and `labels.none` excludes tokens and needs a positive label filter or a date range. `limit` is 1 to 100 (25 by default), and a cursor is bound to the filters it was issued for. Read-only: conversations are created by the agent, never via this API. - [List sites](/docs/api/listSites): Returns every site in your organization. - [Change a version's status](/docs/api/setAgentVersionStatus): Moves a version through its lifecycle. Only the `status` can change here: the instructions are immutable. Promoting a version to `champion` archives the agent's current champion automatically (at most one champion per agent). - [Rename an agent](/docs/api/updateAgentName): Updates the agent's non-versioned fields. Only the `name` can change here: the `type` is fixed at creation, and changing the configuration is creating a new version, not patching the agent. - [Update a site](/docs/api/updateSite): Replaces the site's `name`, `platform`, and `url` together, and optionally patches its AI-assistant-context fields (`siteInformation`, `toneOfVoice`, `vertical`). This does not accept a partial `name`/`platform`/`url` update: always send all three. - [Languages and localization](/docs/product/account/languages-and-localization): Choose the dashboard's regional locale, understand the difference between the translation language and the date/number format, and what the setting does and does not change. - [Email notifications](/docs/product/account/notifications): Turn on the weekly product update or the daily changelog email, see what each one contains, and unsubscribe from either without losing the other. - [Account security](/docs/product/account/security): Change your password, turn on two-factor authentication, and see or sign out the devices currently signed in to your account. - [Your settings](/docs/product/account/settings): Edit your avatar and name, choose the dashboard language, set the time zone that dates display in, and pick a theme. - [Signing in and out](/docs/product/account/signing-in): Sign up, sign in to the dashboard, reset a forgotten password, and log out. - [Switching the theme](/docs/product/account/theme): Switch the dashboard between a light, dark, or system-matched color theme. - [The user menu](/docs/product/account/user-menu): What the sidebar user menu shows and the actions it gives you: your account, organization switching and settings, theme, and log out. - [Capabilities](/docs/product/agents/capabilities): File upload and voice dictation, composer affordances a shopper controls, not the assistant. Both off by default, toggled per agent version. - [Chat tools](/docs/product/agents/chat-tools): The built-in tools an agent version can call (product cards, clarifying questions, quick replies, web search, and page reading) and how to choose them per version. - [Configuration versions](/docs/product/agents/configuration-versions): How an agent's configuration is versioned, what each status means, and how to create, promote, or archive a version. - [Evaluation](/docs/product/agents/evaluation): Run scripted shopper scenarios against an agent version and review pass/fail results with transcripts, instead of testing by hand in the playground. - [Agents](/docs/product/agents): Create and manage your AI Shopping Assistants as agents, each with its own configuration versions and a live champion. - [Instructions](/docs/product/agents/instructions): Write and manage the reusable, typed instruction blocks that agent versions on a site compose into their system prompt. - [Playground](/docs/product/agents/playground): Chat with any agent version against the live model, compare two versions side by side, and preview the chat panel in another language, all before you promote a version. - [Read the docs from an AI tool](/docs/product/ai-access): Fetch any doc or changelog page as raw markdown, or point an MCP client at the docs and changelog directly. - [Filter and paginate conversations](/docs/product/api-conversations): List a site's conversations over the REST API with filters on dates, channel, agent, language, feedback, title keywords, labels and scores, and page through the result with a cursor. - [Errors and rate limits](/docs/product/api-errors): The problem document every API error returns, the list of error codes, what causes each one, and how to handle rate limits. - [Core concepts](/docs/product/concepts): The mental model behind AISA: agents, configuration versions, champions, conversations, channels, and how ids are shaped. - [Connect an MCP client to your dashboard](/docs/product/connect-mcp-client): Point your own Claude or any MCP client at your AISA conversations, labels, reports and agent versions, authenticated as your organization. Nine read-only tools and three ready-made prompts. - [Connectors](/docs/product/connectors): Connect Shopify, commercetools, BigCommerce, or any remote MCP server so your agents can call its tools during a conversation, and control which tools are available. - [Conversation labeling](/docs/product/conversation-labeling): How an AI judge reads finished conversations in the background and records structured labels about them, how to read them in a conversation's Analysis section, when it runs, and how the data is handled. - [Label reference](/docs/product/conversation-labeling/labels): Every label the conversation judge records under taxonomy v1.1, what each value means, the rules it follows, and the scores and values computed from the labels. - [Conversations](/docs/product/conversations): Review chat transcripts, filter by the AI judge's labels, work through the Needs review queue, rate individual assistant messages, and delete a conversation when you need to. - [Embed the assistant on your storefront](/docs/product/embedding-the-assistant): Paste one script tag to load the assistant. Open it from a floating chat bubble, your own button, or both. No login, works from the site key. - [Appearance and placement](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/appearance): Colours, size, corners, shadow, icon and text (all inheriting from your site's branding by default), plus offsets, narrow-screen offsets, position and stacking order. - [The inline button](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/button): A labelled control that sits inside your own content flow instead of a corner of the screen: what you configure, what it inherits, and the rules that differ from a floating widget. - [Add a widget](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/create): Pick a format from the catalog. Selecting a card creates the widget straight away, as an unpublished draft that reaches nobody until you publish it. - [Drafts, publishing and versions](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/drafts-and-versions): Editing a widget writes a draft that shoppers never see. Publish sends it, the previous version is archived rather than discarded, and Restore brings one back for review. - [The widget editor](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/editor): A two-column workshop: the widget standing on a page-sized storefront on the left, seven tabs on the right, and one bar across the top that says what shoppers get. - [A/B testing a widget](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/experiments): Run your draft against your live version with real traffic split between them, and get a verdict you can trust: the traffic floor, the detection limit, and the one-session-at-a-time limitation to know before you start. - [Engagement widgets](/docs/product/engagement-widgets): The chat bubble, the question bar, the inline button and Starters: the surfaces that invite shoppers into a conversation on your site, and how they get from created to live. - [The widget list](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/list): Read what is actually running on your site: four honest statuses, two views, and the row actions that put a widget online, copy it, or remove it. - [Place an inline button on your pages](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/mount-points): The three ways to tell the tag where an inline button goes, ranked best first: what the custom element buys you, and what the CSS selector costs. - [Widget performance](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/performance): One widget's own funnel: views, opens, starts, its start rate, messages per conversation, and a version-over-version comparison that is explicitly not a controlled test. - [Preview](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/preview): A real preview at real offsets, your own storefront behind it, a page-type simulator, and a short-lived link that shows the draft on your live site. - [Starters](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/starters): A composite inline widget (a heading, up to three starter-question chips and a free-text field) that sits inside your own content flow and lets a shopper tap a suggestion or type their own question. - [Page-type targeting](/docs/product/engagement-widgets/targeting): Show on all pages, or an allow-list of page types. A widget with neither renders nowhere, however else it is configured, and an inline widget has no "all pages" mode at all. - [Set up your first assistant](/docs/product/first-run-setup): Onboarding is two steps, your organization and then your storefront address. It then reads your store and preconfigures an assistant you review before anything goes live. - [Introduction](/docs/product): What the iAdvize AI Shopping Assistant is, and how this documentation is organized. - [Audit log](/docs/product/organization/audit-logs): A read-only, filterable record of nearly every admin action across your organization (creating a site, publishing a widget, changing a role, a blocked attempt), with CSV export. Admin-only. - [Billing](/docs/product/organization/billing): See your organization's monthly conversation usage against its quota, and when it resets. Read-only. The quota itself is set by iAdvize. - [Members](/docs/product/organization): Invite teammates, manage roles, see who has access to your organization, manage pending invitations, and remove a member. - [Organization profile](/docs/product/organization/profile): Edit your organization's display name and logo, or view them read-only if you don't have edit access. - [Roles](/docs/product/organization/roles): See every role in your organization, and create, edit, duplicate, or delete custom roles built from a fixed set of permissions. - [Public link](/docs/product/public-link): Share your site's assistant at a public, no-login URL. Pick which agent it serves and rotate the link if it leaks. - [Quickstart](/docs/product/quickstart): Create a site, set up an agent, and put the assistant on a test page in a few minutes. - [Engagement report](/docs/product/reports/engagement): How many shoppers were exposed to your assistant, saw an engagement widget, opened a conversation, and actually engaged, per site, per widget, per device and per page type. - [Insights report](/docs/product/reports): How shoppers are using your assistant over a date range you choose (volume, depth, tool usage, and when they show up), compared against the period before it. - [Quality report](/docs/product/reports/quality): Answer quality from the thumbs-up/thumbs-down ratings on the assistant's replies (satisfaction, negatives by category, satisfaction by agent, and the most recent complaints), for a date range you choose. - [Sales report](/docs/product/reports/sales): Attributed revenue and the commerce funnel from conversation to purchase, for the selected period. Coming soon. - [Sites](/docs/product/sites): A site is the workspace for one storefront. Create one per store, each with its own agents, conversations, and connectors. - [Starter questions](/docs/product/starter-questions): A site-wide library of tappable questions that open a conversation. Written once per language, shown on the chat welcome screen and on your engagement widgets, and applied the moment you save. - [Style engagement widgets with CSS](/docs/product/styling-engagement-widgets): The supported CSS surface on the chat bubble, the question bar, the inline button and Starters: eight custom properties, nine shadow parts, and what stays private. - [Web tag performance](/docs/product/tag-performance): What the web tag costs a storefront page: the size budget we commit to, the current measurement, what we enforce on every change, and how to measure it live on your own storefront. ## Changelog Feed: /changelog/rss.xml - 2026-10-01 [Read a conversation's labels in a new Analysis section](/changelog/2026-10-01-conversation-labels-panel) — The conversation page now shows what the AI judge recorded, with scores, a review priority and links to the messages it cites, and a Label now button on each conversation. - 2026-10-01 [Filter conversations by label and work through a Needs review queue](/changelog/2026-10-01-conversations-label-filters) — The Conversations list gains Resolution and Issues filters, a Resolution column, and a Needs review tab that lists the conversations the AI judge flagged, with a line saying whether labeling is keeping up. - 2026-10-01 [Create organization works, and organizations get their own setup step](/changelog/2026-10-01-create-organization-own-step) — The organization switcher's Create organization now opens a form for a new organization. Setup is two steps, organization then site, and the last site of an organization can't be deleted. - 2026-10-01 [Filter panels stay open while you scroll their list](/changelog/2026-10-01-filter-panel-scroll) — Scrolling inside a filter's list of options, such as the long Issues list, no longer closes the panel. Scrolling the page still does. - 2026-10-01 [Reports, label counts and agent versions from your MCP client](/changelog/2026-10-01-mcp-reports-label-breakdowns-agent-versions) — The dashboard MCP server now has nine tools. Read your reports, count conversations per label with a comparison to the previous period, read an agent version, and filter conversations by page, widget and commerce outcome. - 2026-10-01 [Search your conversations and read their labels from your MCP client](/changelog/2026-10-01-mcp-search-conversations-and-labels) — The dashboard MCP server now has six read-only tools to search conversations across your sites, read several at once, read their labels and list your sites, plus three ready-made prompts. - 2026-09-30 [Playground conversations are now labeled in the background](/changelog/2026-09-30-conversation-labeling) — An AI judge now reads each Playground conversation once it goes quiet and records whether the need was met, whether the replies were accurate and on brand, and what was missing. - 2026-09-30 [Shopper conversations are now labeled too](/changelog/2026-09-30-shopper-conversations-labeled) — The AI judge now labels Web and Hosted Page conversations as well as Playground ones, except when the shopper objected to measurement. Labels are shown in the dashboard and readable over the REST API. - 2026-09-29 [The AI disclosure wording is now final](/changelog/2026-09-29-ai-disclosure-wording-final) — Legal has validated the AI disclosure line on the hosted chat page and the web embed, so the current wording is final and won't change. - 2026-09-29 [The inline Starters card now reports impressions and clicks per question](/changelog/2026-09-29-starters-card-question-performance) — Questions shown in the Starters card are now counted, and appear as a fourth surface in the Engagement report, on each question's page, and in the Questions list totals. - 2026-09-29 [Both copies of a Starters card now show their questions](/changelog/2026-09-29-starters-card-shown-twice-on-a-page) — When a theme ships the Starters card twice on a page, for example a desktop and a mobile copy, each copy now shows its questions. - 2026-09-25 [Pick last year in one click](/changelog/2026-09-25-last-year-date-range-preset) — Every date-range picker now has a "Last year" preset covering the previous calendar year, 1 January to 31 December. - 2026-09-24 [The widget now follows the page's language, not just the shopper's browser](/changelog/2026-09-24-page-language-resolution) — On a multilingual storefront, the assistant now displays in the language declared by the page (via ) rather than only the shopper's browser language, and you can override it with iadvize('set', { locale }). - 2026-09-21 [The assistant now knows which page each question was asked from](/changelog/2026-09-21-assistant-reads-the-current-page) — The tag reads the current page's address, title and description on its own and sends it with each shopper message, so "is this in stock?" works even if your storefront never calls customData. On by default, switchable per site and per page. - 2026-09-18 [Conversations now survive a shopper moving to another page](/changelog/2026-09-18-conversation-continuity-across-pages) — A shopper's conversation used to restart on every full-page navigation on a multi-page storefront. It now continues, whether they reload, click to another page, or open a new tab on your site. - 2026-09-17 [Terms, privacy policy, legal notice and sub-processor list are published](/changelog/2026-09-17-legal-documents-published) — Four legal documents are now online in English and French, linked from the footer of our public pages. Creating an organization now requires accepting the terms and the privacy policy. All four are published as drafts pending legal review. - 2026-09-17 [Shopify onboarding and add-to-cart are working again](/changelog/2026-09-17-shopify-cart-and-onboarding-fix) — Shopify retired part of its store integration on 2026-08-31, which had started blocking automatic catalog setup for new sites and add-to-cart for existing ones. Both are fixed. - 2026-09-08 [Bar charts now render at a consistent size, with cleaner labels](/changelog/2026-09-08-bar-chart-uniform-metrics-and-labels) — Ranked bar charts in Reports no longer draw abnormally thick, pill-shaped bars for a small number of categories, all cards in a row now share the same height, and long labels truncate cleanly with the full text on hover. - 2026-09-08 [One filter bar for every report, and Conversations opens on the last 30 days](/changelog/2026-09-08-unified-analytics-filter-bar) — Agents, Customer feedback, Panel language, and keyword filters now work on all five reports (not just Conversations and Quality), with new date-range presets, and the Conversations list now defaults to the last 30 days instead of your whole history. - 2026-09-04 [Conversations are reachable again, plus a Channel filter across your reports](/changelog/2026-09-04-conversations-access-and-channel-filter) — The full conversations list is back behind its sidebar link, a new Channel filter (Web, Hosted Page, Playground) is shared across Conversations, Overview, Insights and Quality, and the old Conversations report is renamed Insights. - 2026-09-04 [Organization Settings no longer clips off the edge of the screen on a phone](/changelog/2026-09-04-organization-settings-reachable-on-mobile) — Opening Organization Settings from a phone tried to open a panel beside it with nowhere to go, so General, Members, Roles, API keys, Billing, and Audit log were unreachable. It now swaps into the same menu instead, with a back arrow to return. - 2026-09-04 [Tab strips stop scrolling](/changelog/2026-09-04-tab-strips-stop-scrolling) — Agent, widget, member, role, and language tabs used to scroll sideways on a narrower screen, sometimes cutting a label in half with no hint there was more. They now show a More menu for whatever doesn't fit. - 2026-09-03 [A new look for the dashboard: redesigned sidebar, colors, and charts](/changelog/2026-09-03-backoffice-visual-direction) — The dashboard has a new visual direction: a two-level sidebar replacing the old page-level tabs, a warmer color palette in light and dark, and redesigned charts, KPI tiles, and toasts. - 2026-09-03 [Step through conversations without going back to the list](/changelog/2026-09-03-conversation-prev-next) — The conversation detail page gets Previous/Next arrows, a position count, and a ← / → keyboard shortcut, plus a back link that returns you to the list exactly as you left it. - 2026-09-03 [The language shown on conversations is now labelled "Panel language"](/changelog/2026-09-03-panel-language-label) — The Language column, filter, detail rail and report card read as the shopper's language. They now say what the value actually is: the language the chat panel was displayed in. No figure changed. - 2026-09-02 [A broken link no longer lands on a blank error page](/changelog/2026-09-02-branded-not-found-page) — Any URL that doesn't resolve on iAdvize now shows a proper page with our header, footer, and a link back home (in your language) instead of Next.js's plain default 404. - 2026-09-02 [Browser tabs and shared links now say "iAdvize", not an internal code name](/changelog/2026-09-02-browser-tab-title-branding) — Every page's browser tab title and social-share preview showed an internal project name after the product name. It now reads "iAdvize" instead. - 2026-09-02 [The date-range calendar now follows your dashboard language](/changelog/2026-09-02-date-range-calendar-in-your-language) — Month names, day initials and the first day of the week in the date-range calendar are now translated, and English (UK) starts its week on Monday instead of Sunday. - 2026-09-02 [Search for a site instead of scrolling the switcher](/changelog/2026-09-02-searchable-site-switcher) — The dashboard's site switcher and the audit log's Site filter are now searchable. Type a site's name or URL to jump straight to it, accents optional. - 2026-08-31 [A reorganized sidebar, one shared report range, and record lists under every report](/changelog/2026-08-31-analytics-first-navigation-and-report-detail-lists) — Reports now live under one Dashboards section with a shared date range, Assistant opens straight into your agent, and the Overview, Conversations, Quality and Engagement reports each show the records behind their numbers. Feedback, Exposures and Events moved out of Conversations to where they're read. - 2026-08-28 [Creating or updating a site no longer fails when its URL has a path](/changelog/2026-08-28-site-url-with-path-provisioning-fix) — A storefront URL that redirects to a specific page (common during onboarding) could make site creation or an update fail outright. It now succeeds regardless of the URL's path. - 2026-08-28 [Test a widget change against your live version before publishing it](/changelog/2026-08-28-widget-ab-testing) — Every engagement widget gets a new Experiment tab. Split real traffic between your live version and your draft, and get a trustworthy verdict once enough sessions have been assigned to each. - 2026-08-27 [Bigger product photos in comparisons, and no more phantom scroll arrows](/changelog/2026-08-13-product-comparison-fills-the-panel) — The comparison table now fills the width of the chat panel, so photos are larger when two or three products are compared, and a three-product comparison no longer shows scroll arrows it doesn't need. - 2026-08-27 [Engagement rate now means a shopper actually engaged](/changelog/2026-08-27-engagement-widget-performance) — The Engagement report's headline rate is redefined from "opened the chat panel" to "sent a first message," and gets a per-widget table, a device breakdown, and a mount-failure health card. Every widget also gets its own Performance tab. - 2026-08-27 [See which starter questions are actually earning their slot](/changelog/2026-08-27-starter-question-performance) — The Questions list and each question's own page now show impressions, click-through rate, and a plain-language verdict (Workhorse, Underperforming, Promising, Not enough data, or Never shown) over the last 14 days. The Engagement report adds a matching breakdown by question and surface. - 2026-08-27 [A new widget starts closer to live](/changelog/2026-08-27-widget-onboarding-improvements) — Creating a chat bubble, question bar, button or Starters widget now turns it on and targets it by default. Publishing is the one step left. The catalog leads with our two recommended formats, and the preview scrolls a real page-type wireframe so you can see what your widget lands on. - 2026-08-26 [Starters: questions and a free-text field, inside your own page](/changelog/2026-08-26-starters-engagement-widget) — A new Starters widget combines your site's starter questions with a free-text field, in one card that sits in your content flow. A shopper taps a suggestion or types their own. - 2026-08-25 [The audit log is a lot easier to read](/changelog/2026-08-25-audit-log-retention-and-readability) — Every column is now sortable, with a new Site column right after Date, a click-to-open entry detail panel, a searchable action picker, a smart date-range field, and resolved API-key names. - 2026-08-25 [Starter questions catch up to the widgets list: clickable rows, quicker on/off, sortable columns](/changelog/2026-08-25-starter-questions-grid-parity) — The Starter questions list now opens a question on click, its Live switch moved beside the status and into the row menu, three columns sort, and the question's own page can switch it off or delete it. - 2026-08-25 [Target a starter question at specific URLs, not just a page type](/changelog/2026-08-25-starter-questions-url-targeting) — A new "Specific URLs" targeting mode lets a starter question match your storefront's real address with wildcard patterns, for pages a page type can't describe. - 2026-08-24 [The audit log now covers essentially every admin action](/changelog/2026-08-24-audit-log-total-coverage) — Previously limited to a handful of removals and revocations, the audit log now records sites, agents, connectors, instruction blocks, engagement widgets, starter questions, evaluation, conversations, and organization/role/API-key changes, plus blocked attempts and where an action came from. - 2026-08-24 [A more useful changelog page: search, filters, and shareable entries](/changelog/2026-08-24-changelog-page-quality) — /changelog now has a header and footer, search and type filters instead of numbered pages, colour-coded badges shared with the product emails, and a Copy link plus Older/Newer on every entry. - 2026-08-24 [Put a chat button inside your own pages](/changelog/2026-08-24-inline-button-engagement-widget) — A new Button widget renders in your content flow (next to an add-to-cart, under a size chart) instead of docked to a corner. Three ways to tell us where it goes, from one line in your template to a CSS selector you configure here with no code change at all. - 2026-08-24 [Edit sites now also covers Languages, Branding, Public access, and onboarding review](/changelog/2026-08-24-site-permission-gaps-closed) — A custom role missing Edit sites (or Edit agents, for the assistant's name) can no longer change these fields, the same rule that already applied to General settings. - 2026-08-21 [Accepting an invitation no longer ends on an error page](/changelog/2026-08-21-invitation-link-sign-in-error) — An invited teammate who filled in the sign-up screens could land on a technical error page instead of the dashboard. Invitation links now open through iAdvize, and a sign-in that can't be completed starts over by itself. - 2026-08-21 [Write starter questions once, show them everywhere](/changelog/2026-08-21-starter-questions) — A site-wide library of tappable questions replaces per-version starter suggestions. The same questions now show on the chat welcome screen, the question bar and the chat bubble, and an edit applies immediately. - 2026-08-20 [The product emails were redesigned](/changelog/2026-08-20-product-email-redesign) — The daily changelog and the weekly product update got new layouts, with subject lines that name which of the two emails it is, entries that stack on a phone, a Read more link on every change, and a counted summary at the top of the weekly. - 2026-08-20 [Turn two-factor authentication on when you sign in with Google or Microsoft](/changelog/2026-08-20-two-factor-with-google-and-microsoft) — The Enable button used to appear only for password sign-ins. It's now offered when you sign in with Google or Microsoft too. Enterprise SSO stays with your identity provider. - 2026-08-20 [The 6-digit code field looks the same everywhere you're asked for one](/changelog/2026-08-20-unified-two-factor-code-field) — Account → Security asked for your authenticator code in two visibly different ways. Both now use the larger, split field from the two-factor setup step. - 2026-08-19 [Engagement widgets keep versions, and their editor is a workshop](/changelog/2026-08-19-engagement-widget-versions-and-editor) — Editing an engagement widget now writes a draft that shoppers never see until you publish it, with every past version kept and restorable. The edit page became a two-column workshop with a real preview, a page-type simulator, and a link that shows a draft on your own storefront. - 2026-08-19 [Choose which product emails you get](/changelog/2026-08-19-product-email-notifications) — A Notifications page in your account turns on a weekly product digest, a daily changelog email, or neither. Both start off, and the emails let you drop one and keep the other. - 2026-08-18 [Turn two-factor authentication off however you signed in](/changelog/2026-08-18-disable-two-factor-external-provider) — The Disable button now shows whenever two-factor is on, whichever way you signed in, and it takes effect immediately. We email your account address whenever two-factor is turned off. - 2026-08-18 [Pick an engagement widget from a catalog of formats](/changelog/2026-08-18-engagement-widget-format-catalog) — Creating a widget is no longer a dropdown and a form. You pick a format from a visual catalog and land straight in its editor. The Launcher is now called the Chat bubble. - 2026-08-18 [Engagement widgets now have names, an honest status, and a list you can search](/changelog/2026-08-18-engagement-widget-list-and-names) — Widgets carry a required name instead of an optional description, the list reports three real states instead of Enabled/Disabled, and it gained search, filters, a gallery view, duplication, and a warning when your tag isn't running. - 2026-08-18 [A refused new password no longer strands you on the two-factor code form](/changelog/2026-08-18-password-change-two-factor-step-fixes) — Changing your password with two-factor authentication on could leave you retyping a code that was never the problem. Only a wrong code now says so, signing other devices out no longer stops at the first failure, and the Active sessions list updates itself. - 2026-08-18 [Trend charts now show a value scale, and the site home page's cards are no longer links](/changelog/2026-08-18-report-charts-legibility-and-overview-header) — The trend charts on the site home page and the Conversations, Engagement and Quality reports gained a value axis and a zero baseline. The home page's cards stopped doubling as shortcuts into the reports, and its recent conversations card now names its columns. - 2026-08-17 [Turn on two-factor authentication for your account](/changelog/2026-08-06-self-service-mfa) — A new Two-factor authentication card on Account → Security lets you protect your sign-in with an authenticator app. - 2026-08-17 [Custom roles can now grant site management and conversation deletion](/changelog/2026-08-17-custom-roles-sites-conversations-permissions) — Two permissions your organization already enforces (Edit sites and Edit conversations) were missing from the role builder, so only Admin could hold them. They're now in the list. - 2026-08-17 [Restyle the launcher and question bar from the dashboard](/changelog/2026-08-17-engagement-widget-appearance) — Colours, size, corners, shadow, a launcher icon and an optional per-language launcher text are now per-widget fields with a live preview, and the launcher's default colours have flipped to your brand colour. - 2026-08-17 [Typing in the question bar no longer sets off your page's keyboard shortcuts](/changelog/2026-08-17-question-bar-keystrokes-stay-in-the-field) — A shopper typing in the question bar could trigger single-key shortcuts on the surrounding page, and lose the character they just typed. Keystrokes now stay inside the field. - 2026-08-13 [Deleting an instruction now stops it applying, immediately](/changelog/2026-08-13-deleted-instructions-stop-applying) — A deleted instruction used to keep shaping conversations on agents that already used it, invisibly. It now stops applying everywhere at once, and an agent that referenced one can be saved again. - 2026-08-13 [Switching stores from a detail page no longer leads to a "not found" error](/changelog/2026-08-13-site-switcher-resource-page-404-fix) — Using the store switcher while viewing an agent, connector, conversation, or other detail page could land you on a 404 for the new store. It now takes you to that section's list instead. - 2026-08-12 [Your assistant can now offer tappable quick replies after it answers](/changelog/2026-08-12-quick-reply-suggestions) — A new chat tool lets the assistant suggest up to three tappable next steps after it delivers a product set, a comparison, an answer, or even a zero-result search. Tapping one sends it as the shopper's own message. - 2026-08-07 [Agent detail page redesign: one editing surface, a clearer save bar](/changelog/2026-08-07-agent-detail-icp-redesign) — The agent detail page now has four equally-weighted tabs (Overview, Identity, Capabilities, Instructions) plus Versions and Quality, edits happen directly with no separate "new version" step, and a save bar makes drafting and publishing two distinct, explicit actions. - 2026-08-07 [Target an engagement widget at every page with one switch](/changelog/2026-08-07-engagement-widget-all-pages-targeting) — Engagement widgets have a new "Show on all pages" toggle, so you no longer have to enumerate every page type to mean "everywhere", and future page types stay covered automatically. - 2026-08-06 [A new audit log for admin actions](/changelog/2026-08-06-admin-audit-log) — Organization admins can now see who removed a member, changed a role, revoked an API key, or made other sensitive changes, filterable and exportable to CSV. - 2026-08-06 [A launcher widget's side is now its own setting, independent of the panel](/changelog/2026-08-06-engagement-widget-position-and-stacking) — A launcher widget's Position (left/right) no longer follows the conversation panel's own side. Set it directly on the widget. A new Stacking order field also lets you control which widget renders on top when several overlap. - 2026-08-06 [Add a question bar: a typed message opens the conversation in one action](/changelog/2026-08-06-engagement-widgets-composer) — A new engagement-widget type sits at the bottom of the page as an always-visible text field. A shopper types a question and sends it, which opens the conversation panel and sends what they typed as the first message, with no separate click to open it first. - 2026-08-06 [Product comparison columns now line up, with arrows to scroll](/changelog/2026-08-06-product-comparison-alignment-and-scroll) — Images, titles, prices and "Add to cart" buttons sit on the same line across every compared product, and arrows now show when the comparison scrolls sideways. - 2026-08-06 [Creating, editing, or deleting a site now requires a permission](/changelog/2026-08-06-sites-edit-permission) — Creating a site, changing its general settings, or deleting it now requires your role to grant the Sites: Edit permission. Previously any signed-in member could do all three. - 2026-08-06 [A spinner replaces the "…" on pending submit buttons](/changelog/2026-08-06-spinner-on-pending-submit-buttons) — Every primary save/create/launch button across the dashboard showed pending text like "Saving…" while it worked. It now shows a small spinner next to a plain "Saving" instead. - 2026-08-06 [Assistant name and avatar are now versioned with the rest of your configuration](/changelog/2026-08-06-versioned-agent-identity) — A draft or candidate version can carry a different shopper-facing name and avatar than what's actually live, previewable in Playground before you promote it. - 2026-08-05 [Manage the floating launcher (and future engagement widgets) from its own dashboard page](/changelog/2026-08-05-engagement-widgets-management) — The floating launcher moved off Settings → Public access into a new Engagement Widgets page, where you can now run several independently-configured launcher bubbles on the same site. - 2026-08-02 [Fixed a duplicate row for your first custom evaluation](/changelog/2026-08-02-custom-evaluation-duplicate-row-fix) — Creating an agent's very first custom evaluation could show it twice in the "Custom" checklist until you reloaded the page. It now appears once, right away. - 2026-08-02 [The AI-assist dialog no longer closes the instruction panel behind it](/changelog/2026-08-02-instruction-generate-dialog-sheet-fix) — Opening "Generate with AI" while writing a new instruction from the version editor could close the panel underneath it, losing what you'd typed. The panel now stays open behind the dialog as designed. - 2026-08-02 [A real overview on your site's home page](/changelog/2026-08-02-site-home-real-overview) — The site home page now shows your assistant's actual activity (conversations, engagement, recommendation clicks, and satisfaction) instead of placeholder demo numbers. - 2026-08-01 [A clarifying question with many choices no longer hides the reply's feedback buttons](/changelog/2026-08-01-ask-question-card-height-cap) — A clarifying question with several choices could grow tall enough to push the "Good response"/"Bad response" buttons on that reply behind the sticky header, with no way to reach them. The card is now capped and scrolls internally instead. - 2026-08-01 [A tidier Performance tab, a fifth lab metric, and more precise medians](/changelog/2026-08-01-performance-tab-redesign) — The Performance tab is now split into Most recent run, Real-world field data, and History, the history table shows a hoverable off-to-on score, and every run now measures LCP across 5 samples per side instead of 3. - 2026-07-31 [The Engagement report is live](/changelog/2026-07-31-engagement-report) — See how many shoppers were exposed to your assistant, saw the floating launcher, and opened a conversation, with a day-by-day chart, for any date range. - 2026-07-31 [Measure the tag's real cost on your own storefront](/changelog/2026-07-31-tag-live-performance-measurement) — A new Performance tab launches a live, causal before/after comparison on your own URL, plus real-shopper field data from Chrome UX Report. - 2026-07-30 [Shoppers and admins can now delete a conversation](/changelog/2026-07-30-conversation-deletion) — A shopper can delete the conversation they're currently in from the chat panel, and an admin can delete any conversation from its dashboard page. - 2026-07-30 [A floating launcher bubble for the web tag](/changelog/2026-07-30-embed-launcher-bubble) — Any site with the web tag installed can now show a floating chat bubble that opens the assistant. No custom trigger button required. - 2026-07-30 [Reopening the assistant panel right after closing it no longer hides it again](/changelog/2026-07-30-panel-reopen-stale-close-fix) — A fast close-then-reopen of the assistant panel could make it vanish a moment later, as if it had closed on its own. Reopening now always wins. - 2026-07-30 [Your page no longer jumps when the assistant panel opens](/changelog/2026-07-30-scroll-lock-no-page-jump) — On Windows and Linux desktop, opening the panel with a dimmed backdrop shifted centred page content by about 15 pixels. It now stays exactly where it is. - 2026-07-30 [Shopper data-usage notice and the ability to object](/changelog/2026-07-30-shopper-privacy-notice-and-objection) — Every conversation now links to a plain-language notice explaining what data the assistant collects and for how long, plus a one-click way for shoppers to object to usage measurement. - 2026-07-29 [Changelog entries now have their own page](/changelog/2026-07-29-changelog-detail-pages) — Each update in the changelog gets its own page, the list is a scannable set of cards instead of one long page, and screenshots zoom in a modal. - 2026-07-29 [Tell the assistant which page the shopper is on](/changelog/2026-07-29-page-context-custom-data) — A new customData option on the web tag's set command declares the current home, category, or product page, so the assistant can ground its answers in it. - 2026-07-29 [Fixed sidebar navigation crash when adding a second storefront](/changelog/2026-07-29-sidebar-new-site-navigation-fix) — Opening the "add another storefront" form no longer breaks every sidebar link. Instructions, Agents, Tools, Playground, Evaluations, Connectors, Settings, and Reports all point to your actual current site again. - 2026-07-29 [Your agent's identity now leads the welcome screen, not your site logo](/changelog/2026-07-29-welcome-header-identity-swap) — The pre-conversation welcome screen now shows the served agent's own avatar and name above the welcome message. The site logo no longer appears anywhere in the chat, and the header keeps the agent's identity hidden until the shopper starts chatting (or shows it throughout, if no welcome message is configured). - 2026-07-28 [Send a first message the moment a shopper clicks your button](/changelog/2026-07-28-embed-tag-auto-send) — A data-iadvize-open trigger can now open the assistant and send a first message in the same click. It's opt-in, so every existing button keeps working exactly as before. - 2026-07-28 [Sharper product cards, a badge, and a variant picker on every product tool](/changelog/2026-07-28-product-tools-improvements) — The product carousel's image now bleeds to the card's edges and can carry a badge, and the variant picker it already had is now also on the product detail page and the comparison table. - 2026-07-28 [The sidebar now marks the page you're on](/changelog/2026-07-28-sidebar-current-page-highlight) — Whichever sidebar item matches the page you're viewing stays clearly highlighted, not just on hover, and the same highlighting now carries into section sub-menus like Reports and Settings. - 2026-07-28 [Onboarding now asks for one thing: your storefront address](/changelog/2026-07-28-url-first-onboarding) — Setting up an assistant no longer means filling in a form. Give us your store's address and we derive the rest, then show you everything before it's used. - 2026-07-27 [Fixed a chat failure on agents with no instructions or site branding](/changelog/2026-07-27-empty-system-prompt-chat-crash-fix) — A shopper's chat no longer fails to respond for an agent with no custom instructions and no site vertical, information, or tone of voice configured. - 2026-07-27 [Get an email when your evaluation run finishes](/changelog/2026-07-27-eval-run-email-notification) — The admin who launches an evaluation run now gets an email with the pass/fail summary (or a failure notice) and a link straight back to the run. - 2026-07-27 [A tidier instruction editor](/changelog/2026-07-27-instruction-editor-layout) — Name and slug share a row, character counters moved under the fields they count, optional fields are badged, and a revision's content is now behind an expander. - 2026-07-27 [Name the pause a conditional instruction causes, in your shoppers' language](/changelog/2026-07-27-instruction-indicator-message) — A conditional instruction block can carry an optional indicator message per site language, the phrase shoppers read while that block loads, instead of the generic "Thinking…". - 2026-07-27 ["Test in Playground" is gone from the instruction editor](/changelog/2026-07-27-instruction-test-in-playground-removed) — The per-block test button is removed. It created a throwaway draft version on the site's first agent every time. Test a block through the Playground's own agent/version picker instead. - 2026-07-27 [Instructions and Evaluations are now sidebar entries of their own](/changelog/2026-07-27-instructions-evaluations-sidebar) — The Agents sub-navigation is gone. Instructions and Evaluations sit directly in the sidebar's Assistant group, one click closer, with no URL changes. - 2026-07-27 [Write an instruction without leaving the version editor](/changelog/2026-07-27-instructions-from-version-editor) — The version editor's instruction picker can now create a block, and edit a block the draft already selects, in a side panel, re-pinning the draft to the revision you just wrote. - 2026-07-27 [Search and sort your instruction blocks](/changelog/2026-07-27-instructions-list-search-and-sort) — The Instructions list gains a search field over names and descriptions, keeps its type filter next to it, and lets you sort by Type, Revisions or Updated. - 2026-07-27 [Web search and page reading move to a new Tools page, each with its own settings](/changelog/2026-07-27-tools-page-per-tool-configuration) — A site's tools now have their own page in the sidebar, showing which are live on your agents, with a separate configuration page per web tool, a Save button per card, and access limited to the Agents permissions. - 2026-07-27 [The page-reading connectivity test is gone](/changelog/2026-07-27-web-fetch-connectivity-test-removed) — The tool that let you retrieve a URL from the dashboard to check whether a site serves its real content has been removed, with no replacement. - 2026-07-26 [Instructions are now reusable, typed blocks instead of one field per agent version](/changelog/2026-07-26-instruction-blocks) — Agent instructions move from a single free-text field per version to named, reusable, site-wide blocks (always active or conditional) with revision history and AI-assisted drafting. - 2026-07-25 [Give your AI assistant a name and a face, per language](/changelog/2026-07-25-agent-avatar-display-name) — Agents now have a public identity (an avatar and a display name, translated per site language) shown to shoppers in the chat header instead of a generic icon. - 2026-07-25 [Fixed a crash when attaching an image on the public chat](/changelog/2026-07-25-attachment-tooltip-crash-fix) — Attaching an image on an agent's hosted public link or embeddable web widget no longer crashes the chat page. - 2026-07-24 [See which language each conversation's chat panel used](/changelog/2026-07-24-conversation-language-tracking) — The conversations grid, a conversation's detail page, and the Conversations report now show and let you filter by the chat panel's own language, plus a new report card for recommendation impressions and clicks. - 2026-07-24 [Write your own welcome message and conversation starters, per language](/changelog/2026-07-24-multilingual-conversation-starters) — Sites now declare which languages they serve, and each agent version can carry its own welcome message and up to 3 suggestion chips per language, replacing the old generic, one-size-fits-all opening screen. - 2026-07-24 [Configure and test web search / page reading domains from the dashboard](/changelog/2026-07-24-tool-domain-configuration) — A new Tools tab on a site's settings lets you restrict which domains the assistant's web search and page reading tools can reach, and test whether a URL is actually retrievable. No support ticket needed. - 2026-07-23 [The agent page is now a tabbed workspace](/changelog/2026-07-23-agent-detail-tabbed-workspace) — An agent opens on an Overview of its live champion, with Versions, Evaluation, Insights, and Settings as separate tabs; creating and viewing a version is now a full page instead of a modal. - 2026-07-23 [Added an AI disclosure notice to the public chat](/changelog/2026-07-23-ai-disclosure-notice) — The hosted chat page and the web embed now open every conversation with a short notice telling the shopper they're talking to an AI assistant, ahead of the EU AI Act's 2 August 2026 deadline. - 2026-07-23 [A messenger-style starting screen for the embedded widget and playground](/changelog/2026-07-23-chat-empty-state-starter-suggestions) — The embedded web tag and the dashboard playground now show the composer docked at the bottom from the very first open, with four starter prompts to help shoppers begin a conversation. - 2026-07-23 [Lighter chat header, more consistent header buttons](/changelog/2026-07-23-chat-header-composer-refresh) — The chat's floating header dropped its frosted-glass blur for a plain fade, and its buttons now have a visible background at rest and match the send button's size. - 2026-07-23 [Fixed two chat header display bugs](/changelog/2026-07-23-chat-header-visual-bugs) — The chat header's menu button no longer drifts off-center when there's no logo, and a just-sent message no longer hides behind the floating header. - 2026-07-23 [Simplified the shopper-facing message footer to just feedback](/changelog/2026-07-23-hide-technical-message-actions-for-shopper) — On the public agent chat and the playground's User view, an assistant message now shows only the thumbs-up/down feedback controls. Copy, refresh, and the export menu are hidden there. - 2026-07-23 [Added a response-time badge to the playground's Technical view](/changelog/2026-07-23-playground-response-timing-badge) — Each assistant message in the playground's Technical view now shows how long that turn took, with a breakdown on hover. - 2026-07-23 [Voice dictation now requires turning it on per agent version](/changelog/2026-07-23-voice-dictation-per-version-opt-in) — Voice dictation is no longer always on. It's now a per-version capability, off by default. Existing agent versions had it switched off and need a new version to bring it back. - 2026-07-22 [Cross-page conversation continuity, and the cookie behind it](/changelog/2026-07-22-cross-page-conversation-continuity) — The embeddable widget now reliably keeps a shopper's conversation going across a full page reload on most browsers, using one small, consent-exempt cookie, documented in the embed guide. - 2026-07-22 [Delete and revoke confirmations now show red, not neutral, buttons](/changelog/2026-07-22-destructive-confirm-buttons) — The confirm button in delete/revoke/remove dialogs across the dashboard now renders in the destructive red style, matching the severity of the action. - 2026-07-22 [Shoppers can now close the embed panel themselves](/changelog/2026-07-22-embed-panel-close-and-backdrop) — The embedded assistant panel gets a close button, Escape support, an optional dimmed backdrop, and a more polished opening animation. - 2026-07-22 [Track impressions and clicks on in-chat product cards](/changelog/2026-07-22-events-tab) — A new Events tab lists every impression and click recorded on product cards the assistant renders in chat, and the conversation detail page's Result section now shows each conversation's own counts. - 2026-07-22 [A locked page now tells you what you're missing, instead of crashing](/changelog/2026-07-22-permission-gated-settings-fix) — Settings and Agents/Connectors nav items you can't access are hidden, and opening a locked page directly shows which permission you need instead of an error screen. - 2026-07-22 [Speak instead of type, with the composer's new microphone button](/changelog/2026-07-22-voice-dictation) — A microphone button in the chat composer transcribes speech to text right in the browser, on the playground, the hosted page, and the embedded widget. Shipped on by default for every agent; since corrected to an opt-in, per-version capability, see the 2026-07-23 entry. - 2026-07-21 [Let shoppers upload files, and see them in the transcript](/changelog/2026-07-21-attachment-capability-and-transcript) — File upload is now a per-version chat capability you can turn on or off, and any file a shopper sends now shows in the conversation transcript. - 2026-07-21 [Fixed the embed panel shrinking after the first message](/changelog/2026-07-21-embed-panel-height-fix) — The web tag's conversation panel now stays full-height for its entire open lifetime, on mobile and desktop. - 2026-07-21 [Embed the assistant on your own storefront](/changelog/2026-07-21-embeddable-web-tag) — Paste one script tag to load the assistant in a slide-in panel, opened from your own button.
