Give your AI assistant a name and a face, per language
AddedYour assistant now has a face and a name of its own. Open an agent's Settings tab and use the new Public identity card to set:
- Avatar: a small image (PNG, JPEG, or WebP, up to 2 MB), shown as a circular avatar.
- Display name: one name per language your site has enabled, up to 40 characters each. Leave a language blank and shoppers in that language see a generic "Assistant" label instead, never the agent's internal name, which stays an admin-only label.
Both fields are optional and independent, and save immediately: no new configuration version, the same as renaming the agent.
The chat header changes for every agent, including ones you haven't touched yet. It used to show your site's logo; it now shows the served agent's avatar and display name (or the generic icon and "Assistant" label, if you haven't set either), on the hosted public link, the embedded web tag, and the dashboard playground, in both single-pane and side-by-side compare views. Your site's logo hasn't disappeared: it now shows once, above the welcome message, on the pre-conversation screen.
Removing a language from your site's enabled languages now also removes that language's display name from every agent on the site, the same confirmation-gated cleanup that already applied to welcome messages and suggestions.
