Tell the assistant which page the shopper is on
AddedThe web tag can now declare which page a shopper is on. Call iadvize('set', { customData: { pageType: 'product', productId: 'XXX' } }) (or 'category' with a categoryName, or 'home') and the assistant grounds its answers in that page instead of relying on what the shopper types alone.
Unlike position/backdrop, customData isn't a one-time setting: it can be set again at any time, including while the conversation is already open. On a single-page-app storefront, call it again on every route change so the assistant's context stays current as the shopper navigates.
The declared page is a reference, not an asserted fact: the assistant always looks the product or category up in your catalog before answering, rather than repeating back the productId/categoryName you sent as if they were verified. A malformed or oversized value is dropped without breaking the conversation: the assistant just gets no page context for that turn.
