Your agent's identity now leads the welcome screen, not your site logo

Changed

The welcome screen a shopper sees before sending a first message now leads with your agent's own face: its avatar and display name, shown above the welcome message, on the hosted public link, the embedded web tag, and every Playground pane (single and side-by-side compare views alike). If an agent has no avatar or display name set, it falls back to the generic assistant icon and label, same as before.

Your site's own logo no longer appears anywhere in the chat: not in the header, not on the welcome screen. The Logo field is still there in a site's Branding settings; it just isn't rendered in the chat itself anymore.

The agent's identity in the compact chat header is now hidden until the shopper starts typing or the conversation has a message. Before that, the welcome screen is the one place showing it, alongside your configured welcome message. If a language has no welcome message configured, the welcome screen shows nothing and the header keeps showing the agent's identity throughout instead of hiding it with nowhere to hand it off to. Once the conversation gets going, the identity appears in (or stays in) the header for the rest of the conversation.

If your site uses a Left or Right suggestion-chips alignment, note that this setting now positions only the suggestion chips. The welcome message and the agent's identity above it are always centered, regardless of your alignment choice.
