Signing in and out

Sign up, sign in to the dashboard, reset a forgotten password, and log out.

The dashboard uses hosted sign-in. You don't enter credentials on an iAdvize page. You're sent to a secure sign-in screen and back. Every dashboard route requires you to be signed in.

New to iAdvize? The home page has two separate links: Sign in and Sign up. Use Sign up to create an account. It opens the same hosted screen, just on the sign-up form instead of sign-in.

Open the dashboard. Any dashboard URL works: if you're not signed in, you're redirected to the sign-in screen automatically.

Sign in on the hosted screen. After it confirms your identity, you land back on the page you were heading to.

The hosted screen offers Continue with Google and Continue with Microsoft alongside email and password. Use whichever you prefer, every time. If you already have an account under one method and sign in with another using the same, verified email address, you land in that same account: you won't end up with two.

Email and password

Your password needs at least 10 characters. There's no requirement today for uppercase, lowercase, numbers, or symbols, but it still needs to be hard to guess, and a password that's turned up in a known data breach is rejected, even if it's long enough.

You may also be asked to verify your email address before you can finish signing in. The hosted screen prompts you for this when it applies.

Forgot your password

Click Forgot password on the hosted sign-in screen. WorkOS emails you a reset link; opening it and setting a new password signs you in the same way as any other method. If your email wasn't verified yet, completing the reset verifies it too.

If you know your current password and just want to set a new one, you don't need this flow. See Account security instead.

Everything under /dashboard (Conversations, Sites, your settings) requires a session, so opening any of them while signed out sends you to sign-in first and returns you afterward. Signing in is only for the dashboard: the home page, this documentation site, the changelog, and the pages that serve your assistant to shoppers all open without an account.

Your language and time zone are applied the moment you sign in, so the dashboard is in your language and shows dates in your zone from the first page, on any device, including one you've never used before. Time zone is detected automatically the first time you sign in (from your approximate location) and saved to your account; after that it's read from your account, unchanged, until you set a different one yourself. Language is detected the same way on your first sign-in, but (unlike time zone) it's re-resolved from your browser's language on every later sign-in too, so it can silently change if you sign in from a browser or device set to a different language than the one you last chose. You can change either on Your settings; saving there restores your language if a sign-in has reverted it. See Languages and localization.

Sign out

Log out from the user menu in the sidebar.

Click your avatar at the bottom of the dashboard sidebar.
Choose Log out.

Logging out ends your session and returns you to the sign-in screen. To use the dashboard again you sign in from the start.

One session per browser

Your session lives in your browser. Signing out in one browser doesn't sign you out elsewhere, and signing in on a new device leaves your other sessions alone. See Account security to view or sign out those other sessions yourself.
