Your settings

Edit your avatar and name, choose the dashboard language, set the time zone that dates display in, and pick a theme.

Your settings page holds two cards: your Profile (avatar, name, email, and role) and your Preferences (language, time zone, and theme). Open it by clicking your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar (the user menu's header row goes straight here), or go to /dashboard/account/profile.

Once you're there, a tab strip above the page lets you switch straight to Account security or Email notifications and back: you don't have to go through the user menu each time.

Each card has its own Save button: saving one doesn't touch the other. Your avatar, name, language, and time zone are stored on your account, not just this browser, with one nuance for language, covered below. Theme is the exception: it's remembered per browser, not on your account. See Switching the theme.

Looking for organization members?

This page is your own profile and preferences. To invite teammates or manage who else has access to your organization, see Members, reached from Organization Settings in the user menu at the bottom of the sidebar.

Upload or change your avatar

The Profile card holds your avatar, first name, last name, email, and role.

Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open My account.

In the Profile card, choose a file for Avatar: click it to browse, or drag a file from your computer and drop it directly onto the field (it highlights while you're dragging over it). A preview replaces the current avatar once you pick or drop a valid file.

Click Save. A confirmation appears, and your new avatar shows in the sidebar right away.

Your avatar shows wherever your profile appears (the sidebar, this page, and your row in your organization's member list), so teammates see the same picture you do.

No avatar set yet? You may already see a photo

If you sign in through Google, Microsoft, or another login provider and haven't uploaded your own avatar, the field previews the photo from that provider instead of an empty upload prompt, labeled as coming from your login provider. Uploading your own avatar replaces it everywhere; there's no Remove control until you actually have a custom avatar to remove.

Remove your avatar

Once you've uploaded a custom avatar, a Remove button appears next to it.

Click Remove next to the avatar.
Click Save.

Your avatar falls back to your login provider's photo, if you have one, or your initials otherwise: the same fallback shown before you ever uploaded a custom avatar.

Edit your name

Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open My account.

Edit First name and Last name in the Profile card.

Click Save. A confirmation appears, and your name updates in the sidebar.

Both names are required and can be up to 100 characters. Leading and trailing spaces are trimmed before saving. Editing your name and your avatar are independent: change either, or both, in the same save.

Email and role are read-only

Your email is shown for reference but can't be edited here. Changing it requires a verification step that isn't part of this page. Your Role reflects the role you hold in your current organization: a built-in role (Admin or Member) or a custom role your organization created. It's set from organization member management, not from this page.

Set your language, time zone, and theme

The Preferences card holds your dashboard Language, Time zone, and Theme. Language and time zone are saved together by the card's Save button: picking either doesn't apply until you save. Theme is the exception: it applies the moment you pick it, the same as the sidebar user menu's Theme switch.

The Language picker offers four regional locales: English (US), English (UK), Français, and Deutsch. English is split into US and UK so dates, times, and numbers match your market. Both show the same English interface, only the formats differ.

Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open My account.

In the Preferences card, pick a Language: English (US), English (UK), Français, or Deutsch. Each is listed in its own name.

Choose a Time zone. Type to search the list, or click Detect to fill in your browser's current zone.

Pick a Theme: Light, Dark, or System. The dashboard switches immediately; there's no need to save this one.

Click Save. The dashboard re-renders in your chosen locale, and dates now display in your chosen time zone.

What the language setting changes

It localizes the dashboard interface (navigation, labels, buttons) and the formatting of dates and numbers. The locale's language picks the words; its region picks the format, so English (US) shows month-first dates and a 12-hour clock while English (UK) shows day-first dates and a 24-hour clock, both in English. It does not change the language the AI Shopping Assistant replies to shoppers in; the assistant is multilingual and answers in each shopper's own language on its own. For the full picture, see Languages and localization.

What the time zone setting changes

Every date and time the dashboard shows (conversation timestamps, site timestamps) is rendered in the time zone you set. The default is UTC until you choose one.

What the theme setting changes

It switches the dashboard between light, dark, and system-matched appearance: the same theme the sidebar user menu's Theme switch controls, and picking an option here applies it immediately, just like that switch. See Switching the theme for details.

Theme doesn't follow you across devices

Unlike Language and Time zone, Theme isn't saved to your account: it's remembered by your browser only, so a different browser or device keeps its own theme (defaulting to System).

Time zone follows you across devices; language mostly does

Your time zone is saved to your account the first time you sign in, detected automatically from your approximate location, and read from your account on every sign-in after that, so it applies wherever you sign in, including a browser you've never used before.

Because the time zone is based on your approximate location, it can be off if you're on a VPN or travelling. If the dates look wrong, set the right zone here (use Detect to pick up your browser's exact zone) and Save.

Language is detected the same way on your very first sign-in, from your browser's preference, and saved to your account. But unlike time zone, it's not read from your account and left alone after that: it's re-resolved from your browser's language on every sign-in, because the field iAdvize stores it in is the same one WorkOS's own hosted sign-in screen writes to from your browser each time you sign in. So signing in from a browser or device set to a different language than usual can silently change your account's language back to that browser's language, even after you've explicitly picked a different one here. If that happens, come back to this page and pick your language again: Save restores it.
